1. I feel the Saviour close to me; His presence fills my heart.

In His communion, I rejoice; His virtues He does impart.

 

With Jesus’strength I walk each day

T’ward my eternal home above.

He is the Light; He leads the way,

With great love.

 

2. I feel the Saviour close to me; celestial life I’ve found.

He set me free from sinful ways; His love in me does abound.

 

3. I feel the Saviour close to me; I feel His joy and love.

He offers pardon and His grace and blessed peace from above.
