1. With faith in Jesus thou must wait, in trials, anguish, in grief and pain.

From thy beloved, faithful Lord, His peace and patience thou shalt obtain

The Lord will come and strengthen thee; His mighty power thou shalt see.

With faith in Jesus thou must wait; in Him, victorious thou shalt be.

 

2. By praying always, thou shalt feel His consolation within thy heart.

The Saviour will sustain His own; His love from thee never shall depart.

Thy causes He'll resolve and end; His Word of comfort He will send.

With faith in Jesus thou must wait; oh, trust the Saviour, He is thy Friend.

 

3. Oh, guard in thee what Jesus gives; within His love and His peace abide.

Thy Shepherd is at thy right hand; He watches thee, and He is thy Guide.

To heaven's glory He will lead, to reign with Him eternally.

Oh, wait with patience on the Lord, for thy petition He'll grant to thee.
