360. FROM EVIL AND SIN WE MUST DEPART - INGLES COM VIRTUDE - HINOS CCB /CCUS

 

1. From evil and sin we must always depart

And thoughts of the Saviour must be in our heart.

United in love we will follow our King;

Oh, glory to Jesus, with great joy well sing!

 

Firm in the Lord let us strive to be,

Walking with fervor and sanctity.

Our strong Defender and Lord is He;

He'll always give us the vict’ry!

 

2. The Saviour redeemed us for God, with great love;

His blest Holy Spirit He sent from above.

He gave us an entrance to His holy grace

And one day in heaven we shall see His face.

 

3. The day is approaching; the time is now near;

In splendor, the Bridegroom, our Lord, will appear.

He'll gather all those who seek virtue and love;

Oh, glory to our Redeemer from above!
