411. THE
JUST ONE DIED FOR SINFUL MEN - INGLES COM VIRTUDE - HINOS CCB /CCUS
l. The
Saviour, Jesus Christ, our King, was wounded for our sin;
Through
suff’ring and atrocious death, redemption He did win.
The
price of all men’s sin and shame, on Calv'ry’s cross, He paid.
Though
innocent and free from sin, our Lord did not complain;
An
entrance into heaven's joy, for us, He did obtain.
2. The
Saviour suffered cruel death; He bore reproach and shame,
As
willingly, upon the cross; for sin, He took the blame.
Redemption’s
price for all mankind, He paid with His own blood;
By
virtue of His sacrifice, a multitude wasspared.
He
bought salvation through His death; such love can’t be compared.
3. The
Just One died forsinful men, to pay for evil deeds.
He rose
triumphantly, and now, to God He intercedes.
The
goodness of our God above wasshown in Christ, His Son.
Love one
another, Jesussaid; to us His love He showed.
By
sending His own Son to die, what love our God bestowed!
